It is very easy to extend and has a ton of nice functionality out of the box. Unfortunately, there seems to be no way to make a string be equivalent if it is both null and empty. Thankfully we can create our own using AssertionOptions.AssertEquivalencyUsing!

WebDec 21, 2014 · I believe the issue comes in C#'s overload resolution [of the Should() method and the plethora of type-specific assertions FA supports. A generic overload would be chosen over some of the more specialized assertions breaking that functionality or requiring some explicit casts to access it. There may be ways to mitigate the above.
