In the developing embryo, these cells invaginate, migrate along the neuraxis, and populate the sympathetic ganglia, adrenal medulla, and other sites. WebNeuroblastoma (NB) is the most common extracranial solid tumor in children, [1] accounting for 8% to 10% of pediatric malignancies and 15% of childhood tumor-related deaths. [2] Approximately 65% of its primary tumors are located in the retroperitoneum and partly in the mediastinum and neck.
